LA's La Cienega buzzes with traffic. Smart drivers stop at Shan’s Social House. Hopping out of the car, the customers step into a serene Japanese garden. The elegant door opens and diners are greeted with a sincere smile. Any seat in the restaurant shows off the high-end Asian décor. Every dish is made with high-quality ingredients.

Japanese classics such as gindara saikyo yaki (grilled black cod), tempura and shabu shabu are served. Innovative takes on Asian fare such as honey mayo shrimp and lobster with chili sauce are also popular. Personally, I recommend the scallop skewers, which are fresh, grilled to perfection and accented with Japanese yuzu citrus. No matter the excellent dish, an Asian-accented experience in an elegant setting is guaranteed.

アジアの最高の味と風景はロサンゼルスのShan’s Social Houseで楽しめます。オーナーさんシャン・シュン・コーは韓国出身ですが彼女のレストランの庭園と食事は日本文化の影響を受けています。元々のビジネスは魚介輸入、輸出卸会社です。銀ダラ西京焼きはとても人気があります。外国人のお客さんはよくハチミツ・マヨネーズ・エビとラー油ロブスターを注文します。（爽やかな柚子アクセントになっているホタテもとても美味しいです。）宮崎から輸入しているA5和牛もとても人気があります。銀と赤で彩られた豪華なレストランのメニューには高品質な魚、肉と野菜がたくさん載っています。チャーハンにも新鮮なホタテとエビが使われています。

Shan’s Social Houseのスタッフはアジア的なおもてなしのサービスをしてくれます。 節約したい方にはデイナーよりランチの定食をお勧め致します。菜食主義者の方にかぼちゃとなす天ぷらをお勧め致します。（ももたろうトマト・スープも注文できます。）

ちなみに、ハリウッドの映画会社はShan’s Social Houseの日本的な場面で撮影をおこないました。グリーン・ホーネットを見ると日本レストランは幻想的だとわかると思いますが、Shan’s Social Houseの素晴らしさは幻想ではありません。

Mrs. Shan Shun Kou’s Red Chamber Company is one of the largest seafood wholesaler in the US. So that her LA friends could also enjoy fresh and splendid Asian-style dishes, she opened Shan’s Social House.
